WayPoint Church is a new church plant taking root in Wichita. We're building a launch team to help start a church that's genuinely about Jesus — his grace, his love, and the freedom that comes from truly knowing him. A church with a real heart for our city. Starting this fall, we'll gather regularly to pray, grow together, serve our community, and get ready for our public launch.

We believe Jesus changes people, and changed people change their communities. Right now, nearly 300,000 people in Wichita are one heartbeat away from the wrong side of eternity. We believe God is calling us to do something about that. So we're responding to His call: helping people encounter the living Jesus, find real community, and join in God's work of making disciples in Wichita and beyond.

Our Story

WayPoint Church began with a simple conviction: more than 300,000 of our neighbors are a single heartbeat from the wrong side of eternity, and Jesus has called us to do something about it- right now.

Wichita desparately needs more gospel-centered communities where people can experience hope, healing, purpose, and transformation through Jesus Christ.

We are gathering a team of ordinary people who believe God wants to do something extraordinary in our city. Together, we are building a church that serves neighbors, loves families, invests in the next generation, and helps people take their next step with Jesus.

Our Pastor

Meet our pastor Jeremy (Jer) Arntz.

Jer’s own walk began where most of the people he’s called to reach still live: comfortable, accomplished, and missing something he couldn’t name. He held his firstborn daughter and felt “it” — the gap between everything he’d built and everything that actually mattered. He heard The Gospel of Jesus Christ given clearly and relevantly and it moved him from complacency to faith. He knows what keeps the comfortable heart from Christ because he was that heart.

Jer’s patience for comfortable complacency ended in the face of death’s sudden arrival standing beside his son at the graveside of a 19-year-old friend — gone, far too soon, and without warning. The gap between “someday” and “too late” closed in front of him. WayPoint Church is our answer to that.
